Monitoring
It is your responsibility to monitor your system. Regular monitoring ensures you are aware of when your home is using more power, when your battery is drained and pulling energy from the utility, and if there are any system alerts. Failing to monitor your system could result in unexpected utility charges or undetected performance issues.
Here are a couple of helpful tips to help you get the most out of your solar energy:
1 Try to use high consumption devices like washing machines, dishwashers, or air conditioners during the day when your solar panels are producing the most energy.
2 Unplug devices when not in use to minimize standby power usage, as these can often consume more power than we realize.
To better understand your system’s performance and learn how to monitor it yourself, we’ve created a helpful video you can check out.
